Industry, Calif., – Sept. 3, 2014 –The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) announced today the recipients of this year’s prestigious STAR Awards, recognizing key contributors in the Hispanic community in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
The STAR Awards are presented annually by SHPE, recognizing individuals and corporations nationally for their dedication, commitment and selfless efforts to the growth and advancement of Hispanics through STEM careers.

MIAMI, FL – July 21, 2014 – Telemundo announced the launch of its new nationwide pro-social campaign, Aprender es Triunfar (To Learn is to Succeed), aimed at encouraging students to pursue education in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM). With the support of its parent company Comcast Corporation and in partnership with distinguished Hispanic organizations, including the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), ¡Adelante! SHPE Appoints Miguel Alemany Foundation Board Chair
Industry, CA – May 12, 2014– The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to empowering the Hispanic community by igniting Hispanic youths’ interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), welcomes the appointment of new Foundation Board Chair, Miguel Alemañy. Mr. Alemañy succeeds Diana Gomez, who served as Board Chair for the Foundation since 2009. Ms. Gomez will continue to serve on the Foundation Board of Directors.
